Do we only walk around and sample food?

Food samples are the primary part of our tours but they would not be complete without learning about the uniqueness of Kennett Square's history and culture through our guided walking tour.

How often are tours held?

Tours are currently offered Sunday afternoons beginning at 1pm from May through November.

Can I get a refund or reschedule my tour?

Tickets are non-refundable and can only be used for the date and time you selected.

What types of places will we visit and what kind of food will we be eating?

You will visit restaurants, markets, and a specialty food shop that are locally owned by proud members and supporters of our community. Many, if not all, of the chefs and artisans that you will meet are working hard to source their ingredients locally. We leave it up to the chefs at each restaurant to decide what the group will be sampling. The tour includes a mix of eight savory and sweet tastings as well as two wine tastings from local establishments. Finally, Kennett Square is the Mushroom Capital of the World, so there may be a dish or two prepared with mushrooms, but since the restaurants change their food weekly, sometimes there aren't any!

How much food is served on the tour?

You will receive eight food tastings and two wine tastings over a three-hour period. Tours and appetites vary but most people will feel comfortably full at the conclusion of the tour.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

We regret that we are unable to accommodate any dietary restrictions at this time. If you have specific questions, please email us at info@tastekennett.com.

Are any beverages served on the tour?

Water is served at some of the restaurants and wine is served at two locations. Tour participants will be required to show appropriate identification to enjoy alcohol on the tour. A water bottle will be provided for every guest, but feel free to bring along your own if you like to stay very hydrated.

I live locally. Does the tour offer anything for me?

Absolutely!! Many of our participants are local residents, often accompanied by out-of-town guests. Tours are a terrific opportunity to showcase our home to visitors, and possibly experience a restaurant you have not tried yet yourself!
